Summer fun

So now that summer is over, and we're finally back in Provo (hooray!), and we're almost done unpacking, and school has started... things are starting to slow down a bit. Okay, not really- but maybe they will soon? At least we have time to go to the park during the day. We've been back for two weeks now, and we are still happy with the place we picked to live. And that's a very good thing seeing as how we'll be in this house for the next two years. The kids love it too- which is really important. And I love it that they love the play room in the basement! I love the fact that toys are out of my way, and I don't have to pick them up anytime someone comes over. Just thought I'd post a few more pics from the summer. Most of them are within just a few weeks before we left Cottonwood. We had a great time living with my family. (Thanks you guys for sharing your home with us for four months! We could never express how much we love you and how greatful we are for your hospitality!) So here's some fun pics of how we ended the summer...

Tyler and his cousin Jenna, waiting for the water to fall from the big bucket!...

Jill loves wearing sunglasses! Not sure if it's cause her mom and dad do or what, but she loves playing with her brothers old ones. Guess we should get her her own girly ones for her to wear...

Here's a pic of Tyler in his little Norweigen Boy outfit. I can't remember exactly what its called. I am 1/4 Norweigen, and its a tradition for all of us kids/grandkids/great-grandkids to take our picture in the costume. I'm a slacker, and should've done this a couple years ago, when it actually would've fit him, but I figure better late than never!...

As you can see, a 2T doesn't fit him very well anymore. And I couldn't convince him to put the pants on- they were 100% wool. Not that I blame him for not wanting to wear them...

One day, it was too quiet. Tyler was no where to be found, and wouldn't respond to our calls. We eventually found him in the room playing with the baby powder. Guess he tried to bury Jill's bird. Poor little thing- didn't stand a chance! (This ugly bird is Jill's absolute favorite thing. I hate it, and she can't live without it- you can ask Cameron about the story behind it.)

Here is Tyler and his cousin Ava. He misses her so much! Whenever he's in trouble, or gets hurt- basically anytime he's crying or whining- he says "I miss AVA!" and then states how he wants to go to her house or to the lake with her. It's so sad, but so cute how much he misses her! It was really interesting to find them in the backyard petting the horses, because Tyler has always been so afraid of horses. He doesn't want to feed them, pet them, ride them at all. So we had to snap a pic of this shocking discovery!

My poor sis Lesli broke her finger on the first day of her volleyball practice this year! It was the saddest thing I've ever seen. Notice how it's bent to the side? Kinda gross, I know. She had to have surgery on it- had pins put in the side. But she was such a trooper- said it didn't hurt at all!

Me and Jilli- just chillin. Actually, I think Jill might've been sick in this pic, but I can't remember. I love that she's a cuddler- not just when she's sick. Tyler has never liked to snuggle/cuddle, and Jill always wants to. I love it when she gives me love. Cute little girl.

Here's a couple of when we went to the splash pad at San Tan Village. It's so fun to watch them both run around, not afraid to get wet! I was a little surprised how Jill went right in, but then again- she is a water baby!

We were on a church softball team the whole summer. I love playing sports- and it's not too often I have the opportunity to play with my hubby (or with my mom, or with my sister!). We had a blast, and weren't too bad- if I do say so...

This is after our final game. We came in 3rd place out of like 11 teams, so not too bad! It really was so much fun! I was way bummed when it was over...

This is what Cameron did during our last two games. He calls it stupid, I call it takin one for the team! He was one of the only guys on our team that would slide. He said it was instinct. Just glad it was him and not me. The one on his right leg happened first, and then the next week the one on his left leg. The first one happened like 5 weeks ago, and is just now healed. Such a tough guy!...

Here's Jill's first pony tail! It sure is tough getting her to hold her head still long enough, but I think we're getting the hang of it. Isn't she adorable! Such a big girl!...

Speaking of hair... Cameron chopped his hair off right before we left. Thank goodness his mom can do it, so we didn't have to pay for all that hair he had to chop off!
Here's before...

And after... He's so handsome.

Here's a little pic of the kids after we moved in. Just being cute on the cow pelt. I sure do love my kids!
